It is my privilege to welcome you to Holy Cross Catholic Primary School. I feel extremely honoured to have been asked by the Governing Body to lead Holy Cross alongside Mrs Banks, Head of School. The children are happy and welcoming, the staff enthusiastic and excited to build on the successes of the last academic year, and the whole school a place of fun, laughter and learning anchored in the love of Christ.
Holy Cross is situated in beautiful grounds in East Cowes, overlooking the Solent, at the edge of the Osborne House estate. We are a one-form entry school offering a stimulating and caring place for learning, where children are nurtured, and their talents are developed and celebrated.
We encourage learning outside of the classroom through visits to places of interest and utilising our wonderful local area. Our woodland Forest School environment offers all learners, from Reception to Year 6, the opportunity to develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning.
Our mission is to enable every child to discover their talents, realise their potential, and achieve their dreams by living, laughing and learning together, anchored in the love of Christ, always asking, ‘What would Jesus do?’
Our close relationship with our families is at the heart of all we do - strong home-school connections set the stage for a child who will grow up with a love for learning. We operate an open-door policy and are always open to new ideas and suggestions.
I hope that you find the information on our website useful - please feel free to contact us should you have any queries. If you would like to visit our school, we would be delighted to show you around.
