A very warm welcome to our wonderful one-form entry Catholic primary school, situated in beautiful grounds in East Cowes, overlooking the Solent, at the edge of the Osborne House estate. Holy Cross is a Catholic school where we strive to achieve our best in all that we do as we follow the Gospel values of Jesus Christ. We provide a stimulating and caring place for learning, where children are nurtured, and their talents are developed and celebrated.
The children are happy and welcoming, the staff enthusiastic and excited to build on the successes of the last academic year. Our focus on developing the whole child means our school is a place of fun, laughter and learning, with the Gospel values woven into all aspects of school life. We encourage learning outside of the classroom through visits to places of interest and utilising our wonderful local area. Our woodland Forest School environment offers all learners, from Reception to Year 6, the opportunity to develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning.
Our mission is to enable every child to discover their talents, realise their potential, and achieve their dreams by living, laughing and learning together, anchored in the love of Christ, always asking, ‘What would Jesus do?’
Our close relationship with our families is at the heart of all we do - strong home-school connections set the stage for a child who will grow up with a love for learning. We operate an open-door policy and are always open to new ideas and suggestions.
For those new to our school, I hope that you find the information on our website useful. We warmly welcome visits, and we hope to see you soon.
