(The sign of the Cross is done with the right hand)
In the name of the Father, (touch forehead)
and of the Son, (touch chest)
and of the Holy Spirit. (touch each shoulder)
Amen
Glory Be
Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen
School Prayer
Father in heaven, we give you today:
all that we think, and do, and say;
And we join it with all that was done
by Jesus Christ, your Son.
Amen
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee;
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners, now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen
Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven;
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
Amen
Shema: Prayer of Israel
Hear, Israel,
the Lord is our God, the Lord is One.
Blessed be the name of his glorious kingdom
for ever and ever.
And you shall love the Lord your God
with all your heart
and with all your soul
and with all your might.
And these words that I command you today shall be in your heart.
Prayer by St. Teresa of Avila
Christ has no body now on earth but yours,
No hands but yours,
No feet but yours;
Yours are the eyes
through which is to look
at Christ's compassion to the world;
Yours are the feet
with which he is to go about doing good;
Yours are the hands
with which he is to bless people now.
Prayer of St Francis of Assisi
Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.
Divine Master, grant that I may not so much -
Seek to be consoled, as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
It is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
